Here’s some relevant information directly related to your home. Please note that sewer line issues are completely hidden and not part of a regular home inspection. The only way to know the condition of the line is to run a camera through it.

1970 to 1999 Homes - Transition Era Scope Option

This era includes a wide mix of sewer materials, including clay, cast iron, and early PVC piping.

Issues we’ve found in 1970 to 1999 homes:

Real example: We scoped a 1986 property where roots penetrated through clay joints and met rusted cast iron under the slab. The full line replacement cost was $24,000. With the full picture, the potential buyers could make an informed decision.

A sewer scope only takes15 to 20 minutes, includes a video recording, and costs $300 + GST. We can do it during your inspection with no delay or extra booking.

If everything looks good, you get peace of mind knowing your sewer line is in great shape. If we do find something, it gives you leverage for negotiation or, at the very least, a clear understanding of what you’re walking into so there are no surprises down the road.
